The firm has participated in various national and international arbitration proceedings on issues arising from building and engineering contracts, commercial and employment disputes. Our work includes review and preparation of material, legal opinions for submission to arbitration tribunals, assisting clients on the preparation of arbitration proceedings, and representing clients in the tribunals. The head of Aequitas Chambers is a member of International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA).
We have represented clients under the rules of the International Cotton Association (ICA), UK. The firm has also advised NMCI, USA, a US based pre-shipment inspection agency, in a commercial dispute with the Government of Bangladesh.
The firm has also been appointed as the local legal counsel by Petorbangla, BAPEX and the Government of Bangladesh in the arbitration case held at ICSID against NIKO in ICSID Case No. ARB 10/11 and ICSID Case No. ARB 10/18.
